The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding across several support categories. The one most relevant to IT training and employment pathways is called Capacity Building specifically the “Finding and Keeping a Job” and “Improved Learning” categories.
Capacity Building funding is designed to help NDIS participants develop skills and NDIS IT training is one of the most powerful ways to use it, that increase their independence and ability to participate in the workforce. IT training, coding education, and supported employment pathways can all fall under this category depending on how your plan is managed.
If your child’s plan is Self-Managed or Plan-Managed, you have the most flexibility in choosing registered and unregistered providers including social enterprises like AJC TEC.
